AT 300 PM CDT... A 992 MB LOW PRESSURE CENTER WAS LOCATED OVER
NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO AND WAS MOVING SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST. A
STATIONARY FRONT WAS DRAPED TO ITS NORTH OVER WESTERN KANSAS INTO
THE OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS PANHANDLES WITH SUB FREEZING AIR GENERALLY
TO ITS NORTH AND WEST. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADARS AND
SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATED LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW OVER
COLORADO NORTHWARD TO WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA. LIGHT RAIN WAS
OBSERVED ALONG AND TO THE EAST AND SOUTH OF THE STATIONARY FRONT
AND ACROSS NEW MEXICO.

MOVE INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS BY THURSDAY MORNING. WITH SUB
FREEZING AIR FORECAST TO BE IN PLACE FROM COLORADO NORTHEASTWARD
INTO THE DAKOTAS... LOCATIONS TO THE NORTHWEST OF THE SURFACE LOW
TRACK CAN EXPECT SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF FOUR TO EIGHT INCHES.
HIGHER AMOUNTS OF UP TO TWELVE INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN SOME AREAS
WITH UP TO A FEW FEET OF SNOW EXPECTED IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF
COLORADO.
