...LOW PRESSURE CONTINUES TO WEAKEN AS IT MOVES THROUGH THE UPPER
MIDWEST...SNOW AMOUNTS AND WIND GUSTS ARE RAPIDLY TAPERING OFF.

DAKOTA...NORTHWESTERN IOWA...AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN
MINNESOTA.

AT 300 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADARS AND
SURFACE OBSERVATIONS INDICATED A 999 MB...29.50 IN...LOW PRESSURE
CENTER LOCATED OVER NORTH CENTRAL IOWA. LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WAS
BEING REPORTED WEST OF THE SURFACE LOW. THE TIGHT PRESSURE
GRADIENT WEST OF THE SURFACE LOW RESULTED IN SUSTAINED WINDS FROM
20 TO 30 MPH.  A MIX OF RAIN...FREEZING RAIN...AND SNOW IS FALLING
NORTH...SOUTH...AND EAST OF THE LOW. RAIN SHOWERS WERE REPORTED
ALONG THE ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT FROM EASTERN MICHIGAN..SOUTHWARD
THROUGH EASTERN TENNESSEE...AND SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE GULF COAST.

EASTWARD INTO THE UPPER GREAT LAKES REGION BY SATURDAY MORNING. 
BLIZZARD CONDITIONS HAVE DIMINISHED OVER THE DAKOTAS. ADDITIONAL
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE MINIMAL...LESS THAN FOUR
INCHES...ACROSS SOUTH EASTERN MINNESOTA...IOWA...AND SOUTHERN
WISCONSIN. THESE WINTERY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TO DIMINISH AS
HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FROM THE NORTHWEST.
