THE VIGOROUS SURFACE LOW OVER THE OHIO VALLEY IS FORECAST TO
ADVANCE NORTHEASTWARD AND WEAKEN LATER TODAY WHILE THE COASTAL LOW
NEAR SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND CONTINUES TO DEEPEN. AS THE MAIN FORCING
FOR HEAVY RAIN HAS MOVED OFFSHORE...THE STORM SHOULD TRANSITION TO
PRIMARILY A HEAVY SNOW MAKER. AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE
EXPECTED TO FALL ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHERN OHIO AND IN THE CENTRAL
APPALACHIANS...WITH STORM TOTAL AMOUNTS OF 8 TO 14 INCHES POSSIBLE
OVER WESTERN NEW YORK AND NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND.

THE CHANCE FOR FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET WILL DIMINISH OVER THE NEXT
12 HOURS AS THE LOW CONTINUES NORTHEASTWARD.

FINALLY...VERY STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS MUCH OF
THE NORTHEAST IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE INTENSE DEEPENING OF THE
STORM ALONG THE COAST.

THE NEXT STORM SUMMARY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL
PREDICTION CENTER AT 1000 PM EST SUNDAY. PLEASE REFER TO YOUR
LOCAL NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
ON THIS EVENT.
