...HEAVY RAINS ARE FALLING ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA...ARIZONA INTO SOUTHERN NEVADA...

...WIDESPREAD WINTER STORM WILL MOVE FROM THE SOUTHWEST UNITED
STATES AND ROCKIES THROUGH THE CENTRAL AND INTO THE NORTHEASTERN
STATES THIS WEEKEND. NUMEROUS WINTER STORM WATCHES FROM THE
CENTRAL ROCKIES THROUGH THE PLAINS TO THE GREAT LAKES HAVE BEEN
CHANGED TO WARNINGS. THE STORM WILL BRING A MIXTURE OF HEAVY
RAIN...SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN TO A LARGE PORTION OF THE
NATION.

FLASH FLOOD WATCHES ARE IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
ARIZONA...SOUTHERN UTAH...SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO...SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHWESTERN COLORADO.

FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN
ARIZONA AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

BLIZZARD WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR A SMALL PORTION OF
SOUTHWESTERN COLORADO.

WINTER STORM AND HEAVY SNOW WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF
NORTHERN NEW MEXICO...WESTERN COLORADO...NORTHEASTERN UTAH...THE
MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHERN NEVADA...AND A SMALL PORTION OF SOUTHERN

HEAVY RAINS HAVE BEEN REPORTED THROUGH SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND
ARIZONA. HEAVY SNOWS ARE FALLING OVER THE CENTRAL ROCKIES. A
MIXTURE OF RAIN...SLEET...FREEZING RAIN AND SNOW ARE BEING

OF LOW PRESSURE OVER COLORADO SATURDAY MORNING.  THIS LOW WILL
THEN MOVE EAST-NORTHEASTWARD TOWARD THE GREAT LAKES BY SUNDAY
MORNING.  HEAVY RAINS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS ARIZONA AND SOUTHERN
NEW MEXICO INTO SOUTHERN UTAH ON SATURDAY WHILE HEAVY SNOW WILL
SPREAD ACROSS HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF UTAH...WESTERN COLORADO...AND
SOUTHERN WYOMING.  A LARGE AREA OF SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING
RAIN WILL DEVELOP EARLY SATURDAY OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS AND
SPREAD NORTHEASTWARD TOWARD THE UPPER MIDWEST AND GREAT LAKES
SATURDAY. SNOW WILL ALSO SPREAD INTO PORTIONS OF THE NORTHEAST BY
LATE SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY.

RAINFALL TOTALS OF 2-5 INCHES ARE LIKELY OVER ARIZONA AND SOUTHERN
UTAH...WITH HEAVY SNOW OVER THE CENTRAL ROCKIES AND MUCH OF THE
CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PLAINS AND UPPER MIDWEST BY SATURDAY NIGHT.
SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE ARE ALSO POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
CENTRAL PLAINS AND MIDWEST. PORTIONS OF THE NORTHEAST MAY ALSO SEE
SNOW...SLEET AND SOME ICE BY SUNDAY.
