...RAIN SPREADING UP THE MID-ATLANTIC COAST...

FLOOD AND COASTAL FLOOD WARNINGS ARE CURRENTLY IN EFFECT ACROSS
MUCH OF THE EASTERN SEABOARD COVERING SOUTH CAROLINA NORTHWARD TO
NEW JERSEY...A HIGH WIND WARNING IS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT ALONG THE
SOUTHEASTERN VIRGINIA COAST.

STORM WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR COASTAL REGIONS EXTENDING FROM
VIRGINIA BEACH VIRGINIA NORTHWARD TO OCEAN CITY MARYLAND.

WIND ADVISORIES ARE CURRENTLY IN EFFECT ACROSS PORTIONS OF COASTAL
MARYLAND...DELAWARE...AND THE SOUTHEASTERN COAST OF NEW JERSEY.

A SLOW MOVING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE...ROUGHLY CENTERED ABOUT 110
MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF NEW RIVER NORTH CAROLINA...IS FORECAST TO
DRIFT NORTH TONIGHT AND PASS EAST OF VIRGINIA BEACH THURSDAY
MORNING. AS OF 9 PM EST WEDNESDAY...AN AREA OF RAIN EXTENDED FROM
WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA ACROSS VIRGINIA INTO THE NORTHERN MIDDLE
ATLANTIC STATES AND LONG ISLAND.  SUSTAINED NORTHEAST WINDS AS
HIGH AS 45 MPH...WITH GUSTS OF 60 MPH OFF OF THE MID-ATLANTIC
COAST. THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE...IN COMBINATION WITH STRONG HIGH
PRESSURE CURRENTLY OVER THE UPPER GULF COAST AND NEW ENGLAND...IS
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO CREATE STRONG ONSHORE WINDS FOR THE
MID-ATLANTIC AND SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND REGION.
