WINTER STORM WARNINGS ARE CURRENTLY IN AFFECT FOR A LARGE PORTION
OF THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PLAINS...INCLUDING PORTIONS OF SOUTH
DAKOTA...EXTREME EASTERN MONTANA...NEBRASKA...EASTERN
WYOMING...EASTERN COLORADO...KANSAS...SOUTHWESTERN IOWA...NORTHERN
NEW MEXICO...AND NORTHWESTERN MISSOURI. WINTER STORM WATCHES ARE
IN EFFECT FOR THE PANHANDLES OF TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA...PORTIONS OF
SOUTHERN IOWA...NORTHERN MISSOURI...CENTRAL ILLINOIS...CENTRAL
INDIANA...SOUTHWESTERN OHIO...AND NORTHERN KENTUCKY.

SNOW ADVISORIES ARE CURRENTLY IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN
WYOMING AND MONTANA. SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW ADVISORIES ARE
CURRENTLY IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN COLORADO...EASTERN
MONTANA...AND CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA. WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES ARE
CURRENTLY IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN NORTH
DAKOTA...EASTERN SOUTH DAKOTA...NORTHEASTERN NEBRASKA...WESTERN
IOWA...NORTHWESTERN MISSOURI...SOUTHERN KANSAS...AND WESTERN
OKLAHOMA.

A VERY SLOW MOVING LATE SEASON WINTER STORM IS CURRENTLY
DEVELOPING OVER EASTERN NEW MEXICO.  THIS STORM IS EXPECTED TO
MOVE EAST-NORTHEASTWARD OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. AS THIS OCCURS
WIDESPREAD MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW IS EXPECTED TO EXPAND WELL TO
THE NORTH OF THE LOW...IMPACTING A LARGE PORTION OF THE CENTRAL
PLAINS INTO PARTS OF THE MIDWEST THROUGH TUESDAY. AREAS OF LIGHT
TO MODERATE SNOW ARE CURRENTLY FALLING ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE
CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PLAINS.  SNOWFALL RATES AND COVERAGE ARE
EXPECTED TO INCREASE ACROSS THE AFFECTED AREAS OVERNIGHT WITH THE
POTENTIAL FOR THUNDERSNOW.
