...TROPICAL DEPRESSION IVAN IS CROSSING THE BLUE RIDGE AS IT
STARTS TAKING A MORE EASTWARD TRACK...VAST SWATH OF HEAVY RAIN AND
THUNDERSTORMS STRETCH FROM THE CENTRAL APPALACHIANS TO NORTHERN
NEW ENGLAND.

FLOOD WARNINGS ARE UP FOR WESTERN AND CENTRAL
PENNSYLVANIA...WESTERN MARYLAND...AND PORTIONS OF NORTHERN
VIRGINIA.

FLOOD WATCHES ARE IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHERN NEW YORK STATE...
PENNSYLVANIA...NEW JERSEY...DELAWARE...SOUTHERN
CONNECTICUT...VIRGINIA...WEST VIRGINIA...SOUTHEASTERN OHIO...AND
EXTREME WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA.

A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR EASTERN VIRGINIA...CENTRAL
MARYLAND...SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA...AND EXTREME NORTHEASTERN
NORTH CAROLINA UNTIL 12 MIDNIGHT EDT.

THE 11 PM EDT...03Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION IVAN WAS
LOCATED NEAR 37.5 NORTH LATITUDE AND 79.4 WEST LONGITUDE... OR
NEAR LYNCHBURG...VIRGINIA. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 20 MPH
WITH SOME HIGHER GUSTS.  MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1000 MB OR
29.53 INCHES. OVER THE PAST SIX HOURS...IVAN HAS BEEN MOVING IN AN
EAST-NORTHEASTERLY DIRECTION AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH. OVERNIGHT
IVAN IS EXPECTED TO MOVE EASTWARD TOWARD SOUTHEASTERN VIRGINIA BY
SATURDAY MORNING.  ON SATURDAY IVAN IS EXPECTED TO TAKE A TURN TO
THE SOUTHEAST...MOVING TO NEAR CAPE HATTERAS BY SATURDAY EVENING
WHILE IT CONTINUES TO WEAKEN.
