CURRENT WATCHES/WARNINGS...A NUMBER OF FLASH FLOOD AND FLOOD
WATCHES ARE IN EFFECT TODAY THAT EXTEND NORTHEASTWARD FROM
SOUTHEASTERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS UP THROUGH THE MID
MISSISSIPPI AND OHIO VALLEYS...INTO CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA...AS THE
DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE PLUME FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO ASSOCIATED
WITH GRACE INTERACTS WITH A SLOW MOVING SURFACE FRONT DRAPED
ACROSS THE REGION.  THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR THE BIG
BEND...LOWER TRANS PECOS...AND THE SOUTHERN PERMIAN BASIN IN
TEXAS HAS BEEN CANCELLED.  IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA...A RIVER
FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR THE CALCASIEU RIVER...INCLUDING OLD
TOWN BAY AND SALT WATER BARRIER. IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS...A FLOOD
WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE PINE ISLAND AT SOUR LAKE.  THE
WARNING FOR PEACH CREEK AT SPENDORA HOWEVER IS NO LONGER IN
EFFECT.  FOR BRAZORIA AND MATAGORDA COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST
TEXAS...AN URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY HAS BEEN
ISSUED...EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 AM CDT.
   
AT 4 AM CDT...09Z...THE SURFACE LOW WAS FOUND NEAR LATITUDE 32.1
NORTH...96.4 WEST...JUST NORTHWEST OF CORSICANA TEXAS. 

GRACE HAS TURNED TO THE NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH OVER THE PAST FEW
HOURS AND IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE IN THIS GENERAL DIRECTION AS IT
INTERACTS WITH AN UPPER LEVEL JET TO ITS NORTH AND BEGINS TO
PHASE WITH A SLOW MOVING FRONT DRAPED JUST TO ITS WEST.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MPH. THE MINIMUM
CENTRAL PRESSURE HAS DECREASED SLIGHTLY TO 30.40 INCHES...1009

GRACE...INTERACTING WITH THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED SURFACE FRONT
THAT STRETCHES UP THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY...HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR
GENERATING LOCALIZED 5 INCH RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN THE VICINITY OF
THE BOUNDARY OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

REPEATING...AT 4 AM CDT...09Z...TROPICAL DEPRESSION GRACE WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 32.1 NORTH...96.4 WEST...MOVING
NORTHEASTWARD AT 10 MPH...MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE BETWEEN 10
AND 15 MPH...MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 30.40 INCHES OR 1009 MB. 

THE NEXT ADVISORY BY THE HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL PREDICTION CENTER ON
GRACE WILL BE ISSUED AT 10 AM CDT.
