NATIONAL CENTERS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PREDICTION
HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL PREDICTION CENTER...NWS...CAMP SPRINGS MD
4 AM CDT WED AUG 7 2002

...ONLY THE REMNANTS OF T.D. BERTHA REMAIN...THE CIRCULATION
ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM HAS WEAKENED...THE SYSTEM HAS BEEN
DOWNGRADED AND IS NO LONGER A TROPICAL DEPRESSION. THIS WILL BE
THE LAST STORM SUMMARY FOR "BERTHA".

RIVER FLOOD WARNINGS REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN
SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI...
TICKFAW...TANGIPAHOA...AMITE...COMITE...BOGUE
FALAYA...TCHEFUNTE...AND LOWER PEARL.

A FLOOD WATCH FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN MISSISSIPPI...PORTIONS OF
EAST CENTRAL LOUISIANA...AND FOR THE RIVER AND FLORIDA PARISHES OF
EAST CENTRAL LOUISIANA ...HAS BEEN CANCELLED.  ISOLATED TO
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE STILL POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.

AT 4 AM CDT...0900Z...THE CENTER OF THE REMNANTS OF  BERTHA WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 29.2  NORTH...LONGITUDE 91.7  WEST...
APPROXIMATELY 60 MILES SOUTH OF NEW IBERIA/ ACADIANA.

BERTHA HAS DRIFTED SLOWLY SOUTHWESTWARD OVER THE PAST 3 TO 6
HOURS. MODEL GUIDANCE SUGGESTS THAT THE REMNANTS OF BERTHA
WILL CONTINUE A WESTWARD DRIFT ALONG THE GULF COAST FOR THE NEXT
SEVERAL HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE 13 MPH. ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL
PRESSURE IS 1012 MB.
