42W...AND 62S 15W. THE JET HAS A FINGER TO THE NORTH BETWEEN 52S
75W AND 54S 48W. THE NORTHERN POLAR HAS ITS ENTRANCE AT 30S
106W...ALONG 31S 100W...A 122KT MAXIMUM AT 30S 96W...29S 89W...34S

BETWEEN THE BELLINGSHAUSEN-WEDDELL SEAS...WHILE CONFINING TO AREA
SOUTH OF 54S. NORTH OF THIS AXIS...A SHORT WAVE RIDGE EXTENDS OFF
THE SOUTH COAST OF CHILE...WHILE FARTHER EAST...A TROUGH EXTENDS

ENERGY ACROSS CENTRAL PROVINCES IN ARGENTINA. FARTHER UPSTREAM
OVER THE EASTERN PACIFIC...A SHORT WAVE TROUGH ON THE NORTHERN
STREAM EXTENDS ALONG 90W TO 20S.

AT LOW LEVELS...THE SURFACE ANALYSIS SHOWS A RIDGE ON THE NORTHERN
STREAM OVER THE EASTERN PACIFIC THAT CENTERS ON A 1029 HPA HIGH AT
37S 87W. SOUTH OF THIS RIDGE...A BROAD TROUGH SPANS FROM THE
BELLINGSHAUSEN TO THE WEDDELL SEA...WITH A POLAR FRONT ALONG THE
