PERU. THIS IS VENTILATING CONVECTION MOSTLY ALONG ITS NORTHERN
PERIPHERY IN PARTS OF CENTRAL AND WESTERN AMAZONIA...EXTENDING
FROM AMAZONAS IN BRASIL ALONG NORTHERN PERU/ECUADOR. SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND DENSE CLOUDINESS ARE ALSO AFFECTING MOST OF THE
CENTRAL AND NORTHERN ANDES OF PERU AND PARTS OF ECUADOR. TO THE
EAST...A NOW WELL DEFINED CAVADO DO NORDESTE EXTENDS FROM A
ESPIRITO SANTO ACROSS WESTERN BAHIA-SOUTHERN MARANHAO-AMAPA-FRENCH
GUIANA...SUSTAINING A QUIET PATTERN WITH FAIR WEATHER ACROSS MOST
OF NORTHERN AND EASTERN BRASIL.

CATARINA/PARANA IN BRASIL...WHERE AT LOW-LEVELS MOISTURE IS
CONVERGING AHEAD OF A NORTHERLY LOW-LEVEL JET. TO THE SOUTH...WELL
DEFINED TROUGH EXTENDS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN ANDES FROM TIERRA DEL
FUEGO INTO CONCEPCION IN CHILE. THIS TROUGH IS FOCUSING CYCLONIC
VORTICITY ACROSS MOST OF SOUTHERN CHILE AND PARTS OF
PATAGONIA...AND IS ACCOMPANIES BY A TIGHT BELT OF WESTERLIES
AFFECTING THE AYSEN REGION IN CHILE AND PARTS OF CENTRAL
PATAGONIA. TO THE SOUTH...A LOW CENTERS OVER THE BELLINGSHAUSEN
SEA AT 62S 88W.

AT LOW LEVELS...A 972 HPA LOW EXTENDS A FRONT ALONG 54S 67W...51S
