ORGANIZED DEEP CONVECTION ACROSS CENTRAL-WESTERN BRASIL TO
NORTHERN BOLIVIA-PERU...WITH MOST INTENSE CLUSTERING BETWEEN
ACRE/AMAZONAS IN BRASIL AND PERU.

THE 250 HPA JET ANALYSIS SHOWS THE EXTENDING ALONG A 132KT MAXIMA
AT 40S 127W...39S 118W...49S 108W...55S 88W...A 155KT MAXIMA AT
54S 73W...51S 48W...52S 30W. THE NORTHERN POLAR EXTENDS ALONG 33S
120W...37S 109W...A 136KT MAXIMA AT 48S 98W...51S 80W...EXITING AT
45S 59W. THE SUBTROPICAL JET FORMS AT 27S 71W...28S 60W...A 142KT

PERTURBATIONS STREAMING ACROSS SOUTHERN CHILE/PATAGONIA IN
ARGENTINA AND THE DRAKE PASSAGE. EAST OVER THE ATLANTIC...AN
ELONGATED TROUGH NOW EXTENDS ALONG 60S 18W...50S 23W...45S
30W...44S 40W...URUGUAY TO NORTHERN ARGENTINA. FURTHERMORE...THE
NORTHERN HALF OF THIS TROUGH HAS BEGUN TO SHEAR FROM THE SOUTHERN
STREAM PORTION AND THIS IS EXPECTED TO EVOLVE INTO A SHORT WAVE
TROUGH ON THE NORTHERN STREAM.
