THIS IS FOCUSING MOISTURE ACROSS NORTHWEST BRASIL TO NORTHERN
PERU-EASTERN ECUADOR...WHERE IT FAVOR SCATTERED DEEP CONVECTION. A
WANING TROUGH TO THE EAST...MEANWHILE...EXTENDS ALONG 20S 50W...A
LOW AT 09S 56W...TO VENEZUELA/COLOMBIA. THIS IS INTERACTING WITH
THE NEAR EQUATORIAL TROUGH OVER BRASIL IN SUPPORT OF ISOLATED TO
SCATTERED DEEP CONVECTION. OTHER ACTIVITY TO THE SOUTH WAS
BUILDING BETWEEN THE RIDGE AND THE TROUGH...AFFECTING THE CENTRAL
STATES OF BRASIL.

THE 250 HPA JET ANALYSIS SHOWS THE SOUTHERN POLAR WITH ENTRANCE AT
56S 116W...THEN ALONG 59S 90W...59S 73W...EXITING AT 55S 60W. IT
HAS A FINGER BETWEEN 52S 47W AND 52S 34W. THE NORTHERN POLAR LIES
ALONG 39S 120W...A 144KT MAXIMUM AT 46S 110W...A 145KT MAXIMUM AT
55S 103W...A 153KT MAXIMUM AT 56S 87W...47S 57W...A 143KT MAXIMUM

SEA ANCHORS THE LATTER. FARTHER NORTH...A LOW NEAR 37S 74W EXTENDS
A SHORT WAVE TROUGH ALONG 30S 80W TO 28S 85W. THIS IS FOCUSING
SHORT WAVE ENERGY ACROSS CENTRAL CHILE TO THE CENTRAL PROVINCES IN
ARGENTINA...WHERE IT PROVIDES DYNAMICAL SUPPORT TO ORGANIZED DEEP
CONVECTION.

AT LOW LEVELS...A BROAD RIDGE OVER THE EASTERN PACIFIC CENTERS ON
A 1029 HPA HIGH AT 46S 83W. A BROAD TROUGH TO THE EAST DOMINATES
FLOW OVER THE SOUTHWEST ATLANTIC WHILE ANCHORING ON AN OCCLUDED
962 HPA LOW AT 66S 33W. THIS EXTENDS A POLAR FRONT ALONG A 964 HPA
LOW AT 68S 32W...65S 24W...A 976 HPA LOW AT 58S 27W...52S 32W...A
1010 HPA LOW AT 44S 49W...BUENOS AIRES TO MENDOZA IN ARGENTINA.
THIS SUSTAINS ORGANIZED DEEP CONVECTION ACROSS CENTRAL PROVINCES.
A POLAR RIDGE TO THE SOUTH CENTERS ON A 1021 HPA HIGH AT 46S 65W.
